DIY: Some more bracelets!

Hei there, I told you in the previous post (DIY Friendship bracelets) that I was still experimenting with different bracelet. I was inspired by this tutorial from Honestly WTF. So here are the new one. I don't really know what would be the exact name for those, but I let your imagination think about that!

For those bracelets, you will need:
- embroidery thread (colors of your choice)
- leather (or suede) cord
- chain/pearl line
- glue gun (optional)
- scotch tape (optional)

Step1: Make a loop with the leather/suede cord.

Step2: Close the loop by making a knot with one color embroidery thread. (You might want to scotch tape the leather/suede cord to make the knot and also to facilitate step 3).

Step3: You might want to use the glue gun and stick the two part of leather/suede cord together. You should then stick the pearl/chain on the two pieces of cord (in the middle).

Step4: Then, turn the embroidery thread around the knot (around the leather/suede cord) on 1.5-2cm (depending of your choice) until the beginning of the pearl/chain.

Step5: Where the pearl/chain 'starts', keep turning the embroidery thread around the leather/suede cord between the pearls.

Step6: Turn the embroidery thread in the end around a knot, just like you did at the beginning (step 2).

Step7: You are done! You might want to give a little shot of glue in the end so that the embroidery thread stays in place! Here is the result!

What do you think? I like them, they are bit more sophisticated than the normal friendship bracelet, and you can re-invent those bracelets! You can use pretty much anything in the middle!

Fr: J'avais promis d'autres bracelets que les 'friendship' bracelets, donc voila le résultat de ma petite expérience! Je ne sais pas exactement comment appeler ces bracelets, mais je laisse votre imagination y penser! Pour faire ces bracelets, vous avez besoin de:
- fil de couleur (votre choix)
- corde en cuir ou 'suede'
- une sorte de chaine ou ligne de perles
- un pistolet a colle (optionnel)
- scotch (optionnel)


Etape1. Faire une boucle avec la corde de cuir (ou 'suede').
Etape2. Faire un noeud avec le fil de couleur autour de la boucle.
Etape3. Utilisez le pistolet a colle pour coller les deux parties de la corde en cuir (ou 'suede') et pour coller la ligne de perles (ou chaine) au milieu.
Etape4. Tournez le fil de couleur autour de la corde en cuir (ou 'suede') jusqu'au départ de la ligne de perles.
Etape5. Continuez a tourner le fil de couleur autour de la ligne de perles. Tournez le fil entre les perles (environ 3 a 4 tours).
Etape6. Tournez le fil de couleur autour de la corde de cuir (ou 'suede) de la même manière que vous l'avez fait a l'étape 2.
Etape7. Vous avez terminé, vous pouvez donner un petite coup de colle sur le fil de couleur a la fin de votre bracelet.


Et voila! Qu'est-ce-que vous en pensez? Je trouve qu'ils sont un peu plus sophistiqués que les 'friendship' bracelets!
