Studded Jean Short DIY

Hi guys, I wanted to have a studded jean short since a long time, and I just received my studs, so I decided to get started on it! I ordered the studs on Ebay and went to the addict to get one old jean that I was supposed to sell in flea market. And thank god, I didn't sell it ;)
So for a studded jean short, you need:
- one old jean
- studs (as much as you want, the kind you want)
- scissors
- ruler/ sewing meter
- pen



Step1. Try your jean on. Check the length you want and make a little mark on the side.

Step2. Take your jean away and draw a whole line on the bottom of your jean (starting from the little mark you made). Do not draw one straight line but the sense of your line will depend on the kind of short you want. I drew my line this way:

If you draw the line this way, you will get a short in the shape of a panty (kind of), like this for example:

Step3. After you decided how to draw your line, take your jean and bend it with the bottom on the exterior. And then cut the two legs in the same time.

Step4. There you go, your jean short is done. You might want to re-cut if you think that you didn't cut enough. I chose to leave the short the way I cut it, but you can also leave it longer from beginning and then sew a reverse. If you choose to make a reverse, you would get that kind of short:

Step5. Choose the appropriate studs, and start applying them.

I chose to put them on the following places:

What do you think? It cost me nothing and would probably be around 40-50 Euros in store! Me like it :)

Fr: Bonjour bonjour, j'ai été un peu absente ces derniers temps, et je m'en excuse. J'étais à Stockholm pour un long weekend! Les photos arrivent d'ailleurs!
Ca fait longtemps que je voulais me faire un short en jean et finalement j'ai attendu de recevoir les 'clous' (studs) que j'avais commandé. J'avais commandé ces clous sur Ebay pour personnaliser certaines pièces de ma garde robe, et j'ai trouvé avec mon short en jean la pièce idéale! Je voulais presque vendre ce vieux jean au marché aux puces, et merci mon Dieu, je ne l'ai pas fait!
Donc, pour réaliser ce studs short en jean, vous avez besoin:
- d'un vieux jean
- clous (pour personnaliser votre short, mais pas obligatoire)
- ciseaux
- une règle ou un mètre de couture
- un feutre, marqueur


Etape1. Essayez votre jean devant votre mirroir. Regarder la longueur et faites une petite marque là où vous aimeriez couper le jean (sur le côté du jean).
Etape2. Enlevez votre jean et dessinez une ligne là où vous aviez fait une marque (sur le derrière du jean là où il y a les poches). Le sens de la ligne va dépendre du genre de short que vous désirez obtenir. Dans tous les cas, ne dessinez pas une ligne parfaitement droite!
J'ai choisi de me faire un short en jean de type culotte, ce qui veut dire que j'ai dessiné ma ligne de cette manière: photo n.1.
Etape3. Une fois que vous avez décidé du sens de votre ligne, prenez votre jean et rabattez les deux jambes du jean sur l'autre de manière à avoir l'extérieur du jean en face de vous. Ensuite, coupez les deux jambes en même temps en suivant votre ligne.
Etape4. Et voilà! Vous avez à présent votre short en jean. J'ai décidé de garder le short tel quel, mais si vous avez laisser un peu plus long que prévu, vous pouvez aussi décider de coudre un petit revers (voir photo n.2). Ensuite viens l'étape de la personnalisation du short (si vous le désirez).
Etape5. Choisissez les 'clous' les plus appropriés pour la réalisation de votre short et commencez à les appliquer.
Et voilà votre studded short en jean!


Fi: Hei. Halusin tehdä jean lyhyt pitkään. Jouduin odottamaan saada 'studs' tilasin Ebaysta. Olen niitä nyt, joten ei sitä mennään. 
Tästä DIY, tarvitset:
- vanha jean
- studs (ei pakollinen)
- sakset
- hallutsija/ompelu metri
- kynä


Vaihe1. Kokeile jean ja tarkista, jonka pituus haluamasi lyhyt. Kun tiedät, tee pieni merkitä kynällä on jean.
Vaihe2. Ota sun jean pois ja piirtää viivan (joka alkoi pieni merkitä teit). Alä piirrä suora viiva (koska takapuolin näyttää).
Piirsin rivi näin (alkaen haaroista).
Vaihe3. Kun olet päättänyt mikä järkeä piirtää viivan, voit taittaa jean niin, että pohja tulee ulkopinnalle. Leikkaa sitten jean on tunnetta linjan.
Vaihe4. There you go! Voit tehdä käänteinen jos löydät jean liian pitkä. Jätin minun näin.
Vaihe5. Valitse sopiva 'studs' ja alkaa käyttämään niitä.
